Apollo Connector Setup and Configuration
Connect Apollo.io to Dataverse and choose how Accounts and Contacts are enriched in RapidStart CRM.
What the Connector Does
The RapidStart Apollo Connector enriches Account and Contact records with business and contact data from Apollo.io. You can run enrichment manually for selected records or enable automatic enrichment when eligible records are created.
Before You Begin
- RapidStart CRM installed in a Microsoft Dataverse environment.
- An Apollo.io account and API key. You can manage keys in the Apollo developer portal.
- A licensed Dataverse user or service account for the connector's connection reference.
- Permission to configure connection references and cloud flows in the target environment.
1. Install the Connector
Open the RapidStart Apollo Connector listing in Microsoft Marketplace, select Get it now, and install it in the same Dataverse environment as RapidStart CRM.
2. Open the Setup Wizard
Open RapidStart Settings, select Apps & Add-ons, and choose Configure for the Apollo Connector. Complete each stage in order.
Apollo API Key
Enter and save your Apollo.io API key. The wizard stores the key in the connector's environment-variable configuration.
Refresh Days
Set the number of days before a previously enriched record is eligible for enrichment again. The default is 30 days. Set the value to 0 if records should always be eligible for re-enrichment.
Configure Connection
Open the connection-reference configuration from the wizard and assign the Microsoft Dataverse connection to the licensed user or service account that will run the enrichment flows. Return to the wizard and confirm that the connection is ready.
Turn On Flows
Enable the flows that match the enrichment motion you want to use:
- Apollo Enrich Account Manual and Apollo Enrich Contact Manual let users enrich one or more selected records from the grid command bar.
- Apollo Enrich Account Auto enriches new Accounts that have a website URL.
- Apollo Enrich Contact Auto enriches new Contacts that have an email address.
Apollo API usage
Automatic enrichment can consume an Apollo API credit for every eligible new record. Enable the automatic flows only when that behavior matches your Apollo plan and data process.
3. Verify the Setup
- Open an Account with a website URL or a Contact with an email address.
- Run the appropriate manual Apollo enrichment command.
- Confirm that the record is updated and that the flow run completes successfully.
- If you enabled automatic enrichment, create a suitable test record and verify the corresponding automatic flow.
Setup complete
The Apollo Connector is ready when the API key, refresh interval, Dataverse connection, and selected flows all show as configured in the wizard.
