What LinkedIn Capture Does

RapidStart LinkedIn Capture lets a user send publicly visible profile or company information from LinkedIn to RapidStart CRM. The browser extension sends the captured information directly to a cloud flow in your environment, where matching Dataverse records can be created or updated.

Before You Begin

RapidStart CRM installed in a Microsoft Dataverse environment.
Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
A licensed Dataverse user or service account for the connection reference and flow.
Permission to configure connection references and cloud flows in the target environment.

Use LinkedIn responsibly

Your organization is responsible for using captured information in accordance with LinkedIn's terms, privacy requirements, and applicable law.

1. Install the Add-on

Open the RapidStart LinkedIn Capture listing in Microsoft Marketplace, select Get it now, and install it in the same Dataverse environment as RapidStart CRM.

2. Configure the Dataverse Connection

Open RapidStart Settings, select Apps & Add-ons, and choose Configure for LinkedIn Capture. In the first stage, assign the Dataverse connection reference to the licensed user or service account that will run the capture flow.

3. Turn On the Capture Flow

Use the second wizard stage to open and enable RapidStart LinkedIn Capture. Return to the setup page and confirm that the flow is on.

4. Install and Connect the Browser Extension

Install RapidStart LinkedIn Capture for Chrome or RapidStart LinkedIn Capture for Edge.
In the setup wizard, select Open Flow for the RapidStart LinkedIn Capture flow.
Select Edit, then open the first trigger named When a HTTP request is received.
Copy the HTTP POST URL from the trigger details.
Close the flow editor without saving.
Open the browser extension, expand Setup, paste the HTTP POST URL, and save it.

Protect the flow URL

Treat the HTTP POST URL as a secret. Do not publish it or share it outside the users who are authorized to use the extension.

5. Verify the Setup

Open a LinkedIn profile or company page that you are permitted to capture.
Use the RapidStart LinkedIn Capture extension to send the visible information.
Confirm that the flow run succeeds.
Verify the resulting or updated record in RapidStart CRM.

Setup complete

LinkedIn Capture is ready when the Dataverse connection and cloud flow are active and the extension contains the flow's HTTP POST URL.
