LinkedIn Capture Extension — Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 3, 2026

Overview

RapidStart LinkedIn Capture (“the Extension”) is a browser extension that helps users capture publicly visible information from LinkedIn profiles and company pages into their RapidStart CRM system.

Information We Collect

The Extension collects the following publicly visible information from LinkedIn pages you choose to capture:

From LinkedIn Profiles:

  • Name
  • Job title
  • Company name
  • Email address (if publicly displayed)
  • Phone number (if publicly displayed)
  • Location
  • LinkedIn profile URL

From LinkedIn Company Pages:

  • Company name
  • Website URL
  • Industry
  • Employee count
  • Headquarters location
  • Phone number
  • LinkedIn company URL

Information We Store Locally

The Extension stores only your Power Automate flow URL in Chrome’s sync storage to maintain your connection settings across sessions. No LinkedIn data is stored locally in the browser.

How We Use Information

When you click the capture button, the Extension:

  1. Reads publicly visible information from the current LinkedIn page
  2. Sends that information directly to YOUR Power Automate flow
  3. Your flow creates a record in YOUR Dataverse/CRM environment

The Extension acts as a bridge between LinkedIn and your own CRM system. RapidStart does not receive, store, or have access to the LinkedIn data you capture.

Data Transmission

All data is transmitted directly from your browser to your own Power Automate flow endpoint over HTTPS. RapidStart servers are not involved in this data transmission.

Third-Party Services

The Extension interacts with:

  • LinkedIn.com (to read publicly visible profile/company data)
  • Microsoft Power Automate (to send data to your CRM)

These services have their own privacy policies that govern their data practices.

Data Retention

RapidStart does not retain any LinkedIn data. Data you capture is stored in your own Dataverse environment according to your own data retention policies.

Your Rights

Since all captured data goes directly to your own CRM system, you have full control over that data. You can view, modify, or delete it at any time within your CRM.

LinkedIn Terms of Service

Users are responsible for ensuring their use of this Extension complies with LinkedIn’s Terms of Service. The Extension only accesses publicly visible information that you could manually copy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the “Last updated” date.
